What it does
From wp-admin → GreenLight, run a whole-site check — SEO, security, AI search (GEO), accessibility, speed, social, monetization, installability, and more. Every finding reads the same three ways: what we noticed, why it matters, and how to fix it, in language you don’t need to be a developer to act on. It’s the last mile most tools skip: not just “you’re missing a sitemap,” but the exact thing to do about it on your site.
It works on local and staging sites
This is the part most online scanners can’t do. A hosted scanner has to reach your site over the internet, so it’s useless on a site behind a login, on localhost, or on password-protected staging. The GreenLight plugin reads your page’s rendered HTML from inside WordPress and sends that to be analyzed — so it checks the site you’re actually building, before it’s public.
Safe one-click fixes
For the fixes that are safe to automate — a missing llms.txt, robots.txt, or sitemap — the plugin can write the file for you. It’s never a surprise: you see a preview of the exact content first, it keeps a snapshot of anything it touches, and every change has an Undo. Content edits and anything risky stay in your hands — the plugin only automates new, additive files.
Connect your account, keep your history
Paste an API key from your free GreenLight account and every scan this site runs saves to your account history — including local and staging scans — so you can watch a site improve over time. No key? The plugin still runs checks; connecting an account is what saves and unlocks the full set.
Light on your server
The plugin is a thin client: all the scanning happens on GreenLight, not on your host. There’s no heavy crawler running in your WordPress process, nothing to slow down your site, and nothing new to keep patched beyond the small plugin itself. It reads only public page HTML and never fills in or submits forms.
Getting started
Install and activate the plugin, open GreenLight in your dashboard, and run your first check on the current site. Add your account key under Settings when you want to save history and unlock every tool and fix. Prefer to try it first without installing anything?
