Terms of Service

Last updated

1. Agreement

GreenLight (“the Service”) is operated by Gold Finger (“we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. What the Service does

GreenLight scans publicly accessible web pages and reports automated findings about SEO, security, accessibility, and related topics, along with suggested fixes. Findings are automated and best-effort, provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are not professional, legal, security, or financial advice, and we don’t guarantee they are complete, accurate, or error-free. You are responsible for any changes you make to your site.

3. Accounts

You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information. You must be at least 16 (or the age of majority where you live). One account per person or organization.

4. Acceptable use

You may only scan websites you own or have explicit permission to test. You agree not to use the Service to break the law; scan, probe, or attack sites without authorization; overload, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the Service; resell or misrepresent it; or submit others’ personal data unlawfully. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the Service.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) through our payment processor, Stripe. Plans renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime; your plan stays active through the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then stops. No refunds or proration for partial periods. We may change prices or plan features going forward; your current paid term is honored until it renews. Applicable taxes may be added.

6. Free and beta features

Free features, and any features labeled preview or beta, are provided “as is” and may change or be discontinued at any time.

7. Your data

You keep your rights to the data you submit (such as the URLs you scan and your account details). You grant us a license to process it to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service—including its software, checks, and content—belongs to us. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use it in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that findings are accurate or complete. GreenLight is a helper, not a substitute for a full professional audit.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms, including scanning websites without authorization.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive—intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification—survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll post the revised version with a new date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes are subject to the state and federal courts located in Connecticut.
